A 57-YEAR-OLD man has died after a boating accident at Kielder Reservoir, in Northumberland.
Meanwhile, a 17-year-old female is in a critical condition in hospital, police said tonight.
Very few details were available about the accident in which both were involved.
Northumbria police said they had been called to the reservoir shortly after 3pm.
The man was airlifted to hospital, but later died.
A spokesman said the Marine Accident Investigation Branch was carrying out a preliminary investigation at the scene.
