SEVEN young people from a North-East theatre group will travel to London this week to meet the Minister of Justice.
The Jackass Youth Theatre group members have been taking part in a project entitled ‘Britishness’ with a PHD researcher from Bradford University.
The 15 to 19-year-olds will present the MP Michael Wills with a sculpture they have created to represent ‘home’.
A spokeswoman for the group, which has members from across County Durham and Darlington, said: "It sums up their research and personal feelings about the notion of home, and how this relates to race and culture."
The meeting with Mr Wills takes place in London on Wednesday.
