A TEESSIDE leisure centre is hosting a two-hour fitness event in aid of a local charity.

The open-to-all event will take place at the Rainbow Leisure Centre, Coulby Newham, Middlesbrough, on July 17, to raise funds for the Teesside Hospice.

The event, which is open to both current and potentially new customers, offers people the chance to sample four of the different types of fitness class that the leisure centre currently provides Spinning, Just Muscle, Circuit and Boxacise.

It will take place between 5.30pm and 7.30pm in the main hall and tickets cost £4, with £2 of every ticket sold going to Teesside Hospice.

Event organiser Paul Bell said: "The main aim of the Middlesbrough Sport and Leisure Service is to make more people more active.

"So as well as raising funds for a really worthy cause this event will give people a taste of some of the fitness classes on offer at the Rainbow, from instructor led cycling in our spinning classes to the combative jabs, upper cuts and hooks of a Boxacise class."
