BRASS acts will take to the streets of Darlington today, as part of Brass: Durham International Festival.
Beat ’n’ Blow, Oompah Brass and Sosnak will play in the Cornmill shopping centre, with performances also in Queen Street and the Market Square.
All performances are free. The music will begin at 10.30am and continue into the afternoon.
Tomorrow, Molotow Brass Orckestar will play in Darlington town centre at 11.30am, 12.45pm and 2.15pm.
The festival website is at brassfestival.co.uk Austrian group Global Kryner, who performed in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2005, will be among the acts performing at the Durham Miners’ Gala today.
Also playing will be El Autentico Tamborazo Zacatecano and Byron Wallen.
There will be free music on the Brass stage, at the Racecourse, Durham, between 2pm and about 5.30pm.
■ In The Northern Echo yesterday, we reported that La Bottine Souriante would play the Gala Theatre, Durham, last night. They will, in fact, play the Gala at 7.30pm on Friday, July 17.
