POLICE in Guisborough are looking to work closely with neighbourhood watch co-ordinators in the town.
A free event has been organised to develop links between residents, police officers and community support officers.
The event, which will be run in conjunction with Trading Standards, Coast and Country, the Fire and Ambulance services and the Community Wardens, will give everyone a chance to learn a bit more and express their views.
PC Jackie Fieldhouse said: "The Guisborough team aim to make their patch safer than ever and it wants to take the public along with it. Already it's a very nice place to live and with help from the volunteers from Neighbourhood Watch we can keep it that way."
The event takes place at Gisborough Hall on Monday, June 15 at 7.30pm.
