PEOPLE looking for work in the care sector are invited to a jobs fair in Bishop Auckland on Thursday.
Many local employers will be attending the event at the Jobcentre on Market Place, including Kelly Park Care, Premier Care, Unique Care, and Durham Careline.
A range of full-time and part-time care jobs are available, and specialist Jobcentre Plus advisors will be on hand to offer help and advice in the application process.
Mike Sharp, recruitment adviser for Jobcentre Plus, said: "This is a fantastic opportunity for jobseekers to meet with employers in an informal way, who have lots of vacancies on offer.
"They will be able to discuss jobs and perhaps even apply on the day."
Advice on subsidised childcare, in-work benefits such as Working Tax Credit, Housing Benefit and Council Tax Benefit will also be available.
The event runs from 2pm to 4pm.
