FLOWERS will be displayed in prominent places around a city centre to celebrate an arrangement society’s 50th anniversary.
Displays will be put in locations across Durham to mark 50 years of the National Association of Flower Arrangement Societies.
About 25 have been created, by members of the Durham and Dunelm clubs, which are part of the society’s Northumberland and Durham group.
The locations will include Durham Town Hall, Durham Cathedral, the Gala Theatre, St Cuthbert’s Hospice and Clayport library.
On Tuesday, the Mayor of Durham, Councillor Grenville Holland, accepted the arrangement set for the Town Hall from Helena Johnson and Wendy Smith.
