POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a collision between an HGV and a car which left both drivers injured.
The accident happened at about 3.20pm on Thursday near Topcliffe, Thirsk, as a white Ford cargo lorry pulled on to the south-bound lane from a minor road.
It collided with a black Audi, travelling in the same direction, which then collided with the central reservation.
The lorry driver, from Manchester, was treated at the Friarage Hospital in Northallerton and then discharged. The Audi driver, from Saltburn, suffered minor injuries.
The road was closed for around two hours and police would like to speak to anyone who saw the incident. They should contact TV Neil Cholmondeley of the Thirsk road policing group on 0845 6060 247.
