A SCHOOL has been given a digital edge thanks to a local supermarket.
The Tory MP for the Vale of York, Anne McIntosh, presented a digital camera to pupils from All Saints RC Primary School in Thirsk given through the Tesco Computers for Schools scheme.
The school had collected a total of 15,430 vouchers when the scheme finished this year.
School secretary Sandra Corrigan said: "This was a fantastic achievement for a small school and we are very grateful to everyone who sent in vouchers.
"With the vouchers we banked last year we have been able to obtain two digital cameras, a CD player and various other items which will benefit the children."
