A bespoke Peter Rabbit sculpture created with pottery brand Emma Bridgewater will be auctioned in the North East to raise money for charity.
The one-off sculpture was part of the Peter Rabbit: Tales on the Tyne trail, marking St Oswald’s Hospice’s 40th anniversary.
The trail featured 96 individually decorated Peter Rabbit sculptures across Newcastle and North Tyneside earlier this summer.
Steph Edusei, chief executive of St Oswald’s Hospice, said: "Peter in the Garden is not only a beautiful piece of work, but it carries the prestige of being a completely unique Emma Bridgewater Ltd item.
"We are enormously grateful to Emma and her team for taking part in Peter Rabbit: Tales on the Tyne and can’t wait to meet the lucky person who gets to take Peter in the Garden home."
Called Peter in the Garden, the sculpture was created with Emma Bridgewater Ltd and inspired by the traditional spongeware pattern in its latest collection.
North East artist Jina Gelder created it with Emma Bridgewater head designer Sophie Gilmour.
Flopsy, Mopsy, Cottontail and Peter are hidden among geraniums and radishes, inspired by Beatrix Potter’s original Painting Book.
The winning bidder will also receive Emma Bridgewater X Peter Rabbit Collection pottery, a tea towel and garden bunting.
The auction takes place at Newcastle Civic Centre on Tuesday, October 13. Other lots include large and medium sculptures, a Snowdog honouring the Hospice’s 2016 Great North Snowdogs event and a book-bench-themed sculpture.

A final celebration weekend will be held at the Civic Centre from October 10 to 11, giving visitors one last chance to see the sculptures together before the auction.
Tickets for the celebration weekend and auction are available at talesonthetyne.co.uk/events. Those unable to attend can register to bid online, St Oswald’s Hospice said.
