Teesside student event returns today with giveaways and Dirty Dancing

Teesside Park will host the event on Tuesday, September 29, from 4pm until late, with exclusive deals, giveaways and activities for new and returning students.

Schuh, Flannels, River Island, Victoria’s Secret and Office are just a few of the shop offering discounts of up to 20 per cent throughout the evening.

Students can challenge new flatmates and university friends on Hollywood Bowl’s free mobile bowling lane and mini-golf green outside Primark.

They can also take on Ninja Warrior Teesside's hang challenge, with prizes on offer for those who can hold on the longest.

PureGym will run fitness challenges, while Boots will offer free makeovers, express facials, hand massages, beauty consultations and product samples.

Free samples are up for grabs from Pause for Coffee and Hotel Chocolat, while Bubble CiTea will be serving selected large fruit teas with a free topping for £3.

Elsewhere, shoppers can take part in spin-the-wheel games at LUSH and Schuh, while EE will host a number of gaming activities.

The evening wraps up with a free 7pm screening of Dirty Dancing at Showcase Cinema de Lux.

Just 110 tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis from the Student Night space outside Primark from 4pm.

Catherine Furlong, centre director at Teesside Park, said: "There's always a great atmosphere at our Student Night - it's a brilliant way for new and returning students to mark the start of another academic year with friends.

"With Teesside Park just a short bus ride from universities and colleges across the area, it's easy for students to come along and make the most of the offers.

"We've got a packed evening planned, with exclusive deals, giveaways, challenges and a free cinema screening all taking place across the centre."

Students can travel free to Teesside Park on Stagecoach services 36, 37, 38 and X60 and Arriva services 16 and X12 from 1pm by showing valid student ID.

Activities in the main Student Night space outside Primark will run from 4pm to 7pm.
