Police uncovered approximately £2,000 worth of Class A drugs during a Teesside patrol recently - and three men have been charged.

Cleveland Police officers spotted three men and a woman acting suspiciously near Ellawood Road while on patrol in Stockton on Thursday (September 24).

After detaining and searching the three men, officers recovered suspected Class A drugs with an estimated street value of around £2,000.

They also seized a substantial amount of cash, multiple mobile phones and what police described as drug-dealing paraphernalia.

The three men, aged 30, 27 and 26, were arrested and later charged with possession with intent to supply Class A drugs before appearing in court on Saturday (September 26).

The 27-year-old man was remanded into custody, while the other two men were granted bail with conditions pending future court proceedings.

Detective Sergeant Darren Guest said: "We will continue to take illicit drugs off our streets and bring those we suspect of being involved before the courts.

"Our officers regularly carry out patrols across Stockton but if you have any information about drug activity in your neighbourhood, please report it to us on 101 or through our website."
