A Teesside charity has made the "difficult decision" to close two of its stores following a drop in sales.
Teesside Hospice announced on Monday (September 14) that its Redcar and Ingleby Barwick stores will shut at the end of the month.
The Ingleby Barwick shop will close on Thursday, September 24, followed by the Redcar store on Friday, September 25.
Both shops will trade as usual until they close.
In a statement shared on social media, Teesside Hospice said: "Due to a downturn in sales, we have made the difficult decision to close our Redcar and Ingleby Barwick shops.
"Our Ingleby Barwick store will close on Thursday 24th September, and Redcar will close the following day on Friday 25th September. Both shops will remain open as usual until this date."
Teesside Hospice’s charity shops provide vital income for services supporting thousands of people across the region each year.
The organisation thanked staff, volunteers and customers who have supported both shops over the years.
It said: "Thank you so much to all of our staff, volunteers and customers who have supported both shops over the years - your contributions have helped the community enormously."
The hospice has encouraged supporters to continue donating and shopping at its remaining stores across Teesside.
Customers can still visit other branches in the area including Acklam, Coulby Newham, Yarm, Middlesbrough, Norton, Thornaby, Stockton and Saltburn.

Teesside Hospice cares for people with terminal illnesses and supports their families, funded in part by its charity shops.
The closures come as charities and retailers face mounting financial pressure, while charity shops rely on donated goods and shoppers’ spending to raise money.
The hospice is also due to host a second-hand fashion show at its Portrack Lane Superstore in Stockton on September 26, with proceeds supporting its end-of-life care and bereavement services.
