Drivers are being warned about upcoming roadworks in Bishop Auckland set to start later this month.
Durham County Council says phased resurfacing will start on Monday, September 21, affecting parts of Newgate Street, Bob Hardisty Drive and Cockton Hill Road.
The work will run for three weeks in two phases, with a one-week break between them.
Temporary closures, driving restrictions and a no-right-turn order will be in force.
Phase One will see parts of Newgate Street and Bob Hardisty Drive closed between 11.15pm and 5am.
The second phase will cover a 390-metre stretch of Newgate Street between Prince's Street and the mini-roundabout at Bob Hardisty Drive.
From 8pm to 6am, westbound traffic will be banned between Kingsway and the Prince's Street roundabout, with no right turn from Kingsway.
Clearly marked diversion routes will be in place during the work.
A council spokesperson urged motorists to allow extra time and follow the diversion signs.
The resurfacing aims to improve some of the town's busiest roads.

A temporary traffic order allows the restrictions to remain for up to 18 months if needed, although the work is expected to finish within three weeks.
The council may use alternative dates if needed and will advertise any changes on site.
The work will begin on Monday, September 21.
