Shoppers at East Durham Garden Centre can get 10 per cent off everything in store this weekend as part of a major loyalty-scheme relaunch.

Family Card members can claim the discount on Saturday, September 12, and Sunday, September 13, as British Garden Centres marks the programme’s fifth anniversary.

Cardholders will save 10 per cent on every purchase during the two-day event, from plants and gardening products to outdoor furniture and seasonal items.

New Family Card members will get a voucher for a free hot drink, while existing members will receive a special fifth-anniversary voucher.

Restaurant customers can also collect digital stamps, with every 10th hot drink or breakfast available free.

The centre's Gardener’s Retreat Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and a carvery every Wednesday and Sunday.

Anna Worboyes, loyalty manager at British Garden Centres, said: "There has never been a better time to be a Family Card holder."

Customers can pick up and register a card at East Durham Garden Centre, or sign up online through the British Garden Centres website.

The offer is part of a wider Family Card relaunch, with British Garden Centres promising new benefits for regular customers.
