MUSICIANS, comedians, and puppeteers are set to take the stage this autumn as part of a packed programme of live entertainment.
Arts Centre Washington has unveiled a full schedule of theatre, music, comedy, film, exhibitions, and community events running until December 19.
Highlights include appearances by young musicians, returning comedy favourites, and family classics brought to life.
General manager Matt Blyth said: "We’re really excited to be welcoming audiences for what promises to be one of our most varied autumn seasons yet.
"From powerful touring theatre and fantastic live music to family adventures, comedy, film, and our Christmas programme, there really is something for everyone.
"It’s particularly important to us that the programme reflects the creativity of our region, so alongside established touring artists we’re proud to showcase emerging local talent and provide opportunities for our community to get involved."
The season opens with the Right Track X YMP gig on Friday, September, spotlighting young talent from the centre’s Right Track and Young Musicians Project.
Comedy fans can enjoy improv from The Noise Next Door on Thursday, October 15.
Families are invited to The Wind in the Willows on Saturday, October 24, with performances at 11am and 2pm.
Drama-lovers can catch Close Enough To Touch on Thursday, October 29, while younger audiences can enjoy Azra Glow, a circus and dance adventure, on Saturday, November 7.
Music highlights include a performance from The Alan Fletcher Band featuring Neighbours star Dr Karl Kennedy on Saturday, October 17. The internationally-acclaimed Royal Northern Sinfonia will take the stage on Wednesday, November 25.
Community events include the Washington Vintage Fashion Market on Friday, September 18; the Autumn Craft & Makers Fair on Saturday, September 26; and a Swing Band Dance Night with The Bright Street Band on Saturday, October 3.

The centre’s gallery will feature the Spotlight: Washington Open Exhibition 2026 from Thursday, November 12 to Saturday, January 16. The exhibition focuses on the theme of ‘Belonging’ and highlights artists from across the North East.
Halloween cinema screenings include The Lair of the White Worm, complete with live music, on Friday, October 30, and Return to Oz on Saturday, October 31.
