Azets has hired 22 new graduates and school leavers across its offices in Newcastle, Durham and Teesside.
The intake, part of the firm's ongoing investment in talent, includes apprentices across a range of service lines, with 12 joining audit, three in wealth management, and others placed in tax, VAT, accounts, and corporate finance.

The school leaver pathway is a six-year programme that includes two apprenticeships, leading to both Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) and chartered accountancy qualifications.

Graduates follow a three- or four-year programme to achieve their professional qualifications, such as ACA, ACCA, CTA or ICAS.
Azets operates three offices in the North East, employing more than 300 people and offering tailored accountancy, tax, and advisory services.
As of March 2025, the North East was home to 73,000 businesses, according to the Office for National Statistics.
