First look inside new Office store at Teesside Park

The firm opened its first Teesside store at the shopping complex on Sunday (August 30), just weeks after the new location was announced. 

Located within the former Charles Clinkard, the space is already proving to be a hit with visitors, according to centre director Catherine Furlong. 

Now, new pictures have offered a first look inside the modern new shop, featuring white walls, LED lighting, and a huge array of big name brands.

This includes Ugg, Adidas, Nike, Asics, New Balance, Dr Martens, and more. 

Office’s move to Teesside Park was first announced in early August, with signs being placed on the front of the unit teasing it was coming “real soon”.

First established in 1983, Office began in a London department store, with its name born from its products being originally displayed on old office furniture. 

Since then, the brand has grown and now has 86 stores across the UK and Ireland, including at the Metrocentre in Gateshead and in Newcastle’s Eldon Square

The Teesside Park unit, now home to Office, had been vacant since Middlesbrough-born firm Charles Clinkard closed back in May. 

Before then, it operated as HMV.

The closure of Charles Clinkard came around two years after its original Middlesbrough shop, on Corporation Road, and Redcar branch shut in 2024. 

Office is the first of two new stores set to open at the park this year, with Oliver Bonas set to replace Pro Cook soon. 

Ms Furlong said: "Office is a brilliant addition to Teesside Park, bringing a great mix of everyday styles and standout pieces to the centre and adding to our existing line-up of fashion and footwear stores. 

“It's already proving to be a hit with visitors, and we've no doubt that'll continue as shoppers look to refresh their seasonal wardrobes."
