A NURSERY has been rated 'strong' by Ofsted.
Little Bears Preschool in Ingleby Greenhow, North Yorkshire, earned 'strong' ratings in all areas.
The setting, based at Ingleby Greenhow Village Hall, was praised for its 'warm, welcoming inclusive environment,' high staff expectations and support for children.
Manager Lauri-Beth Egerton said: "We have just had our recent Ofsted report published and are delighted with the report.
"We have received a Strong judgement in all areas, which we see as an enormous achievement."
The Ofsted report described the preschool as a place where 'all children thrive and flourish.'
Inspectors noted that children develop 'individual character, personality and high levels of self-confidence' from the age of two, supported by a 'small, home from home setting.'
Staff were described as 'exceptional role models,' consistently demonstrating 'kindness and respect.'
The report also stated: "All children achieve well in the preschool.
"Leaders and staff provide families with a warm, welcoming inclusive environment where every child is supported to thrive."
Ms Egerton said: "With only three members of staff, we pride ourselves on really getting to know our families, and being there to support parents and carers as much as we do the children.
"Our ethos is to create a loving, safe, home from home space, where all children's individuality is nurtured.
"Most children leave Little Bears ready to start reception exceeding expected development."
Ms Egerton holds a postgraduate certificate in early years and has achieved Early Years Teacher Status.

Little Bears was established in 2007 by Ms Egerton’s mother, Debs, and relocated to its current site in 2024.
It is described as a loving, safe, home from home space, where all children's individuality is nurtured.
