Greggs has opened its new shop in Northallerton, creating 16 new jobs.

The new shop on North Moor Road opened on Friday (August 28) and offers a full range of the North East bakery giant's favourites - including sausage rolls and steak bakes.

The venue has both indoor and outdoor seating and is open daily from 6am to 6pm.

Gillian Long, retail operations director for Greggs, said: "Our new shop in Northallerton has brought 16 new jobs to the local area, as well as providing customers with a modern, convenient new place to experience their Greggs favourites."

Delivery is available through Just Eat and Uber Eats, and customers can use the Greggs App to order ahead via click and collect.

Donna Mason, shop manager, said: "We’ve got an amazing range of iconic savouries, fairtrade hot drinks, hot food and healthier choices available for takeaway, sit-in or click and collect."
