A Yorkshire farm which claims to be home to the world's first egg restaurant on a working egg farm has won praise from visitors for its breakfasts, brunch dishes and family-friendly attractions.
Yolk Farm, at Minskip near Boroughbridge, combines its Yolk Kitchen restaurant with the family-run Minskip Farm Shop and a playbarn known as The Yard.
Just a short distance from the A1(M), the attraction has become a popular stopping point for people travelling through North Yorkshire as well as families looking for a day out.
Yolk Farm describes itself as a place where visitors can “eggsperience the world's first egg restaurant on a working egg farm”, with award-winning brunch dishes served in Yolk Kitchen.
And recent visitors have been full of praise for the food.
One holidaymaker said the food was “delicious” after ordering fruit pancakes, while her husband described his cooked breakfast as the “best he'd ever had”.
She also praised the dog-friendly approach, including a menu specifically for dogs, as well as the neighbouring farm shop.
Another customer, who stopped for breakfast on the way to the Yorkshire Dales, said the food was “excellent, freshly prepared, and very enjoyable”.
Breakfast and brunch feature heavily in reviews, with dishes including pancakes, cooked breakfasts, burgers, eggs and avocado and hash browns.
One visitor who stopped on a journey between Nottingham and Seahouses described breakfast as “eggselent”, adding that while prices were not the cheapest, the food used “top quality ingredients”.
Another said: “I have eaten here a few times and the food is incredible. Never disappoints.”
For those after something sweeter, the cakes have also attracted praise.
One customer described a rhubarb frangipane as “one of the best bakewell-type slices I've ever had”, calling it particularly moist.
Others have highlighted some of the more unusual dishes on the menu.
A recent visitor praised the Korean chicken burger and What Came First pancakes, describing the food as “amazing” with generous portions and fresh ingredients.
Another customer went even further after trying the food, describing their burger and eggs as the “best” they had ever eaten.
They said they had chosen Yolk Farm instead of stopping at Wetherby services and called it “a much nicer experience”.
The location close to the A1(M) has made it a particularly convenient stop for people travelling north and south.
One visitor who stopped on a journey north said the breakfasts were a good size and delicious, adding: “Can't believe we haven't discovered this place before but now we have, we'll be back!”
Yolk Farm offers more than just food.
Visitors can browse Minskip Farm Shop, which sells local produce alongside fresh eggs, while families can use The Yard playbarn and explore parts of the farm.
Reviews have mentioned seeing farm animals, feeding pigs and taking part in special children's experiences.
One parent praised a Little Farmers experience which allowed youngsters to collect, grade and stamp eggs, saying the children “loved” the hands-on activities.

Another visitor said the combination of a farm shop, animals and play area made it a “great place” for families.
The venue is also dog-friendly, something repeatedly highlighted by customers, while its indoor and outdoor areas make it suitable for visits throughout much of the year.
One reviewer summed up their trip as an “absolute highlight”, praising the farm, shop and “EGGcellent cafe”.
Yolk Farm says it prides itself on “standing out from the flock” and “daring to be different” – and judging by its enthusiastic reviews, plenty of visitors appear happy to make a return trip.
