A seaside café tucked away in East Cleveland is becoming the go-to spot to grab a hot drink by the coast, with tea and coffee available for just £1.50.

Hidden among the colourful beach huts on Saltburn's coastline, the Beach Hut Café has earned a loyal local following for its low prices, welcoming service and unbeatable coastal setting.

As the colder months approach, Saltburn's Beach Hut Café continues to draw visitors looking to enjoy a hot drink to warm up their hands as they take in the sunrise over the sea.

The café has been attracting more attention than usual after a TikTok creator, Sophie Ashcroft, shared a video showcasing some of the businesses found along the Saltburn promenade.

She said: "You can get tea and coffee for £1.50, and there's a little shop too."

Looking out towards the sea, she added: "And look at that view."

With the cost of living pushing up prices in many cafés and restaurants in recent years, the Beach Hut Café's budget-friendly menu helps it stand out from the crowd.

One reviewer on TripAdvisor wrote: "A beautiful beach with the best find yet - the wonderful Beach Hut Café where two fantastic staff members made us feel most welcome and went above and beyond with their attentive service."

They added: "We had jacket potatoes for lunch and drinks for four of us and the cost was only £16.

"They were serving top quality, tasty food and drinks and getting plenty of compliments."

The café has also attracted glowing comments on social media, with one Facebook user saying: "Just visited Saltburn Beach Hut Café. Wow what a find. Amazing value that really can't be beaten.

"We had sausage bap, cheese toastie, tea cake, luxury hot choccy and a latte all for £10.15. Incredible and it was all really lovely."

A local customer wrote: "Always go there, they are so kind and honestly can't be beaten on price."

A visitor from further afield wrote: "We went a few weeks back. They're lovely in there and it's really well priced."

It's not just the hot drinks attracting attention either.

Visitors looking for something more substantial can tuck into a full English breakfast, with both large and small options available for £8 and £6, alongside other light bites and lunch options.

As autumn approaches and warm weather becomes a thing of the past, the café's £1.50 tea and coffee and the seafront views make it one of the area's best-value spots to warm up by the coast.
