A 'deliberate' fire at a North East woodland saw 40,000 sq meter area of grassland go up in flames.
Firefighters battled for an hour and a half to get the fire under control at Errington Woods in New Marske, on Thursday (August 13).
They were called around 7.20pm to reports of smoke coming from a field near the woodland.
Four fire engines from Coulby Newham, Grangetown, Redcar and Saltburn attended and used water bowsers to put out the blaze. They left the scene at about 8.40pm.
Cleveland Fire Brigade believes the blaze covering an area of about 40,000 square meters, was started deliberately.

A spokesperson said: "We were called to an incident at Errington Woods, New Marske at 7.21pm on August 13.
"Four fire engines from Coulby, Grangetown, Redcar and Saltburn were in attendance.
"Approx 200m x 200m field well alight. Ground beaters and a water bowser were used. A stop message was received at 8.40pm. The cause is believed to be deliberate."
