The skies above a North Yorkshire stately hall are set to light up as some of the UK’s top pyrotechnic teams go head-to-head in a spectacular fireworks competition.
Newby Hall and Gardens, near Ripon, will host the annual Fireworks Championships on Saturday, August 22.
The event will see three of the UK's leading fireworks companies compete for the title, each presenting a 10-minute display choreographed to music.
Visitors will have the chance to vote for their favourite via SMS.
Stuart Gill, commercial director at Newby Hall, said: "Our annual fireworks championships feature stunning displays by some of the UK’s leading fireworks companies.
"It’s a popular evening of entertainment for all the family set in the beautiful parkland at Newby."
This evening of explosive entertainment will conclude with a huge finale display.
Gates will open at 4pm, giving guests plenty of time to enjoy a picnic before the show begins.
An 8.45pm drone show will kick off the main event, with the first fireworks set to launch at 9pm.
Camping is available from 1pm for those who wish to extend the experience into the weekend.
Advance online tickets are priced at £30 for adults and £20 for children, while under-fives can attend for free.

Newby Hall is one of the UK’s finest Adam houses and is internationally celebrated as one of the largest and most complete surviving Chippendale interiors.
