Three people have been taken to hospital after a crash near Stokesley.
Emergency services were called to the A172, between Thirsk Road and Little Busby, just before 2pm on Monday (August 3) following a two-vehicle crash.
The road was closed by police following the incident, which saw several ambulance crews, including an air ambulance, attend the scene.
North Yorkshire Police said yesterday that it expected the road to be closed for some time. The road has since reopened.
The Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) has now confirmed that three people were taken to the James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough by road.
Their conditions remain unknown.
A YAS spokesperson said: “We received an emergency call at 1.43pm on Monday afternoon to report a collision on the A172 near Stokesley.

“Two ambulances, an air ambulance and a specialist paramedic were dispatched to the scene and three patients were conveyed by road to James Cook Hospital.”
A force spokesperson previously said: “We are currently dealing with a two-vehicle road traffic collision between Thirsk Road and Little Busby.
“The road is expected to be closed for some time. Motorists are advised to find alternative routes in the meantime. Reference: NYP-03082026-0290.”
