An obstacle course in Teesside has celebrated its second birthday in style, after raising more than £4,000 for a local charity during a special fundraising weekend.
Ninja Warrior UK marked two years in Teesside Park by slashing ticket prices to just £2 across Saturday, July 18 and Sunday, July 19, with every penny raised donated to the Teesside Family Foundation.
More than 2,076 visitors took on the venue's famous obstacle courses and inflatable challenges during the birthday celebrations, helping to generate £4,210 for the charity.
The funds will now be used to support families across the region facing financial and personal difficulties.
The course also welcomed the Stockton Mayor Bob Cook, who visited the site to congratulate Ninja Warrior UK Teesside on reaching its second anniversary and spent time with families supported by the Teesside Family Foundation.
Stephen Wilson, chief executive of Oxygen Activeplay, said: "Following Ninja Warrior UK Teesside's second birthday weekend, we're so proud to have raised over £4,200 for Teesside Family Foundation.
"All proceeds from the weekend's ticket sales will be donated to the Foundation to help support the outstanding work they do within the local community."
The charity helps local people facing challenges including disability, ill health and financial hardship by providing essentials such as food, clothing and toys, as well as creating special experiences for local families.
Tony Wedlake, founder and trustee of the Teesside Family Foundation, said the charity was honoured to have been chosen to benefit from the celebrations.
He said: "To be chosen as the charity for Ninja Warrior UK Teesside's second birthday weekend is something we're incredibly proud of.
"I'd like to thank everyone at Ninja Warrior UK Teesside for their incredible generosity, and everyone who came along to celebrate.
"This weekend proves that when Teesside comes together, incredible things happen."
Ninja Warrior UK Teesside has become a popular attraction since opening two years ago, offering visitors the chance to tackle obstacles inspired by the hit television show.

The venue features a range of challenge courses, giant inflatables and signature attractions including the warped wall, flying squirrel and spider wall.
The park is now preparing for a busy summer, with the launch of its ultimate summer pass, which offers unlimited one-hour sessions throughout the school holidays for just £35.
But for staff, the highlight of the anniversary celebrations was seeing hundreds of local families come together to support a good cause while marking the their latest company milestone.
