Specialist ear care services in a North East community have expanded in response to growing demand from residents, with an enlarged nurse-led team now offering greater access to professional support.
Crystal Clear Ear Care, based in Whitburn, Sunderland, has welcomed a second specialist nurse to its team, enabling it to offer more appointments and reach a wider range of patients.
The team now includes two experienced ear care nurses providing services at the Whitburn clinic, as well as through home visits and outreach to care homes and sheltered accommodation across the area.
Rebecca Shields, founder and clinical director of Crystal Clear Ear Care, said: "We are passionate about ensuring everyone has access to safe, professional ear care in a friendly and welcoming environment.

Ms Shields brings 18 years of ear care experience to the role and is joined by Stephanie Coxon, a registered nurse with 12 years of community ear care experience who also works as an NHS nurse practitioner.
The expanded team offers a full range of ear care services, including in-depth consultations, specialist examinations, and evidence-based treatments such as micro-suction, irrigation, and manual instrumentation.
They also provide education and advice to patients, families, and carers and work closely with GPs, audiologists, and hospital ENT departments.

The clinic has built a strong reputation across the region, earning five-star ratings on Google and Trustpilot, and is fully regulated by the Care Quality Commission.
With the addition of a second nurse, Crystal Clear now offers appointments six days a week at its Whitburn clinic, along with increased capacity for home visits and regular clinics in care homes and sheltered accommodation.
