A new UK-wide training partnership has been launched to expand apprenticeship and upskilling opportunities across multiple industries.
Altrad, an industrial services group, and Education Training Collective (Etc.) have joined forces to deliver a wide range of structured programmes that will support workforce development and address evolving skills gaps.
Under the partnership, high-quality training will be delivered through a network of further education colleges and specialist training providers across the UK.
John Walsh, CEO of Altrad UK, Ireland, Nordics and Poland, said: "We are delighted to be partnering with the team at Etc. as we continue to invest in high-quality apprenticeship provision.
"This represents a significant milestone, marking the first partnership of its kind in the UK.
"It reflects a shared commitment to addressing ongoing skills requirements within the industry and supporting sustainable workforce development over the long term."
The collaboration is part of Altrad’s wider strategy to enhance its training offer and ensure its workforce and clients have access to up-to-date skills nationwide.
Etc., which was recently designated a Clean Energy Technical Excellence College by the Department for Education, will co-lead the partnership, supported by a consortium of colleges, training boards, and awarding bodies across the country.
Following a rigorous selection process, Altrad chose Etc. as a partner capable of delivering consistent, high-quality apprenticeship programmes on a national scale.

By combining Altrad’s industry knowledge with the consortium’s training delivery expertise, the partnership aims to strengthen talent pipelines and support apprentices at all career stages.
The programmes will be designed to meet operational priorities, equipping apprentices with the technical and behavioural skills needed to succeed in the workplace.
This new partnership is expected to play a key role in improving workforce capability and ensuring learners across the UK have access to high-quality, industry-relevant training.
