A seaside town in the North East with three different beaches has been named one of the best in the UK.
Which? has released its list of the best seaside towns in the UK, with Tynemouth coming in second place.
The seaside town was given five stars for its seafront and food and drink, and four stars in many of the other categories, such as beaches, tourist attractions, and scenery.
As well as relaxing on the beach, there are plenty of things you can see and do in the local area.
What can I do in Tynemouth?
On the beach, Which? said: "An extraordinary setting of three impeccable golden sand beaches wrapped around a steep headland crowned by the ruins of Tynemouth Priory and Castle.
"There is good coffee and nice pubs on the high street, while Riley's Fish Shack, a converted shipping container on the beach at King Edward's Bay, serves tasty and inventive fish dishes sourced from local boats.
"The menu at Tynemouth Castle Inn, which overlooks Longsands beach, includes local favourite ham and pease pudding stottie.
"While its popularity with daytrippers means that the beaches can be busy at weekends, holidaymakers staying in one of the few local hotels mostly have it to themselves during the week."
King Edward’s Bay is just one of the beaches in the town where you can relax and paddle in the sea.
From the beach, you can see Tynemouth Priory and Castle, where you can learn more about the area’s history and walk around the ruins of the "great medieval monastic church."
If King Edward’s Bay is too busy for you, you can easily walk to Longsands or Cullercoats Beach.

You could also take a trip to the aquarium to see some marine life up close or to the park, which has a dinosaur-themed mini-golf course, maze, and inflatables to keep children entertained for hours.
In terms of food, you can enjoy a meal with a view at The Gibraltar Rock or walk a little further into the town and try out places like The Salutation, Lola Jeans, and The Cove.
