Rescue volunteers were called after a fisherman suffered a medical emergency off the North East coast.
RNLI volunteers raced to the aid of a fishing boat after a crew member suffered a medical emergency five miles off the coast.
The Hartlepool crew were paged by Humber Coastguard at 10am today (July 15) to assist a person aboard the ten-metre vessel.
The all weather lifeboat John Sharp launched at 10.20am and reached the fishing boat at 10.40am.
Two RNLI crewmembers boarded the vessel to assess the male casualty before he was transferred onto the lifeboat for the journey back to shore.

The casualty was brought to the Ferry Road lifeboat station at 11.05am, where he was able to walk to a waiting ambulance with assistance from lifeboat crew.
Hartlepool Coastguard Rescue Team was also at the lifeboat station to assist.
After the rescue, the all weather lifeboat was refuelled and made ready for service again at 11.20am.
