The Royal Mint has unveiled two new 50p coins inspired by the TV phenomenon Game of Thrones.
Launching today (July 15) in honour of the fantasy drama's 15th anniversary, the coin collection is built around the elemental duality that defines Game of Thrones – ice and fire.
The coins have been made in collaboration with Warner Bros Discovery Global Consumer Products and a selection of 50p coins will feature colour, bringing both designs to life.

The coins are worth at least 30 times their face value with prices starting at £15 and increasing to £2,420.
Game of Thrones first aired in 2011 and has inspired a passionate global fanbase, with it still being a major talking point today.
Rebecca Morgan, director at The Royal Mint, said: “Game of Thrones captured the imagination of millions around the world, and 15 years on, that passion is still as fierce as dragon fire.”
She added: “Whether you’re a lifelong fan or discovering the Seven Kingdoms for the first time, these coins are a stunning tribute to one of the greatest stories ever told.”
How to buy Game of Thrones 50p coins
The new coins will be available to order from 9am today, with delivery expected in autumn this year.
Prices start at £15 for a brilliant uncirculated coin, rising to £27.50 for a brilliant uncirculated colour coin.
It will cost fans £92.50 for a silver version and £2,420 for gold.
What makes a coin valuable?
The 50 pence piece has become the most valued and collected coin in the UK.
Its 27.5mm diameter makes it the largest of any British coin, and allows space for decorative pictures.
It has often been used to celebrate big events over the past 50 years of British history.
The rarest coins tend to be the most valuable, with mintage (the number of coins of each design made) being the primary attraction for collectors.
How to get your old coins valued
Along with the design, other aspects of the coin that increase its value are its condition and whether it has a design error.
The way in which it is sold can also determine the coin’s value.
Some coin collectors will bid vast amounts of money on eBay or at auction, whereas others opt for more robust valuations by selling via a coin dealer.
