Residents have once again been warned to avoid a North East lake due to potentially toxic levels of blue-green algae in the water.
Middlesbrough Council have issued another warning for residents to stay out of Hemlington Lake, just nine days after the first warning was issued.
The algae, which thrives in hot weather, was detected earlier in July but not at concerning levels.
Now, fresh blooms have been spotted, prompting new concerns and further tests by the Environment Agency.
People are advised to keep away from the water, and to ensure pets also steer clear.
Fishermen have been urged to avoid the lake as a precaution.
Signs are being put up around the area to alert the public.
