A North East dessert brand known as the “home of desserts” will officially open its doors tomorrow on a County Durham seafront, after months of anticipation from sweet-toothed locals.
Train Line’s new venue in Seaham is the latest opening for the company, which already runs a popular dessert shop at Seaburn Metro station in Sunderland.
Announcing the launch on social media earlier this week, the company posted: “Seaham its time.
“We will see you all this Saturday from 10am. Keep your eyes on our socials over the next few days there is loads more to come including some mega opening giveaways.”
The opening comes after months of build-up for the latest dessert spot on the seafront, with the brand previously confirming plans to bring Train Line to North Terrace in Seaham and take over the former Tide restaurant site.
Train Line, which prides itself as “the home of desserts”, has already built a loyal following at its Seaburn Metro station branch, where its range of sweet treats has made it a destination for dessert lovers across the region.
The Seaham announcement has once again whipped up a big reaction online, with locals welcoming the news and counting down to tomorrow’s launch.
One person said: “Can't wait to come down, love the shop in Seaburn so hoping this is going to be the same.”
Another wrote: “Finally, Seaham, it's definitely time! Wishing you all the best for the opening this Saturday - we can't wait to pop in and try the desserts (and the coffee).”
A third commenter said it has been “worth the wait”, adding: “Absolutely worth the wait.
“It looks welcoming and ready for some serious treats to cross that counter. Here's to a long and prosperous venture in Seaham.”
Others are excited to see a little bit of Sunderland’s dessert scene arrive on the County Durham coast, with one person saying: “My god this place is going to be dangerous for me! Hoping they bring a bit of Sunderland to Seaham with pink slices, imagine.
