The North East can expect a predominantly warm, dry, and settled week, according to the Met Office - with mild nights in the low to mid-teens, afternoons steadily climbing into the low to mid-20s by midweek, and only a very small chance of any rain throughout.
Monday begins on a cool, dry note, with temperatures around 14C at midnight, slipping to 13C through the early hours and down to about 12C by 5am, while the chance of rain stays below 5 per cent throughout the night.
By 6am it starts to edge up again, reaching 14C by 7am, 16C at 8am, and 17C by 9am, then 18C at 10am and 19C by 11am.
Around midday it is close to 20C, rising to about 21C at 1pm and holding near that mark through 2pm and 3pm, before easing back towards 20C by 4pm and remaining close to 20C into the early evening.
The Met Office says it stays largely dry all day, with the risk of rain under 5 per cent until late evening, when it lifts slightly to around 10 per cent by 11pm as temperatures ease back towards 15C.
In the early hours of Tuesday, temperatures hold near 15C at midnight and 1am before easing to around 14C from 2am through to 6am, with about a 10 per cent chance of rain during the night.
By 7am it is up to 16C, staying there at 8am, then moving up to 18C by 9am and 19C at 10am.
Late morning turns warmer, with 20C at 11am and around 21C by midday, then 22C by 1pm as the risk of rain drops to below 5 per cent.

Mid-afternoon is the warmest spell, with 22C at 2pm and about 23C at 3pm and 4pm, before dipping slightly to 22C by 5pm and 6pm.
Into the evening it cools gradually from around 21C at 7pm to 19C by 9pm and about 17C by 11pm, with the chance of rain generally low but nudging back towards 10 per cent later in the night.
Wednesday sees another mild night, with temperatures around 16C at midnight and 1am and holding at 16C through the early morning hours, with about a 10 per cent chance of precipitation.
By 10am it has lifted to about 19C, then to 22C by 1pm, before a mid-afternoon high close to 24C around 4pm.
Into the evening, it eases back to around 21C by 7pm and about 18C by 10pm, with the shower risk mostly near 10 per cent, rising briefly towards 20 per cent later in the day.
On Thursday, the small hours bring 16C at 1am, slipping to around 15C by 4am, with about a 10 per cent chance of rain.
By 7am it is back up to around 17C, rising through the morning to about 21C by 10am.
The afternoon is warmer again, with around 24C at 1pm and a peak close to 25C by 4pm as the rain risk edges up to about 20 per cent.
Into the evening, temperatures fall back to around 22C by 7pm and about 18C by 10pm, with that 20 per cent chance of rain lingering through the later evening.
Friday continues the warm, settled theme, with temperatures around the mid-teens in the small hours and a very low risk of rain, with the chance of precipitation staying below 5 per cent through the night and into the day.
By 7am it is close to 17C, rising steadily to around 20C by 8am and 22C at 9am, before reaching the mid-20s late morning and early afternoon, with values in the mid to high 20s between about 1pm and 4pm on the Met Office scale.
Into the evening it remains warm, staying in the mid-20s during the early part of the evening before gradually easing back towards 20C by 11pm, with the dry, settled picture continuing and the risk of rain remaining very low throughout.
