A café found along the Northumberland coastline has been named one of the best in the UK.
The Times recently released a list of the best beach cafés, with Piper’s Pitch in Craster being named among some of the best.
The café can be found just a short walk away from Craster Harbour and can be made a part of a walk along the Northumberland coast.
The café serves two speciality dishes, with one being described as "world famous".
What does Piper’s Pitch serve?
On the café, The Times said: "Andy Grant and his wife, Lorna, have just taken over the old tourist information centre in the Craster Quarry car park, thus expanding the best café in Northumberland from a food truck to a sit-down restaurant that, Andy says, will open as a bistro in the evenings.
"The Piper’s Pitch Craster kipper in a roll (£5.20) — now served with a hot honey drizzle — has been the foodie highlight of my annual beach tour since 2008, despite Andy’s annual entreaty to try his 'world famous Auchtermuchty': a bacon and haggis bun, now with chilli jam (£6.20).
"This year I gave in.
"It’s magnificent."
Alongside the kippers in a bun and Auchtermuchty, you can also enjoy classic rolls filled with traditional breakfast items including bacon, egg, sausage, and mushrooms.
The café also serves burgers with a range of toppings for those needing something a bit more substantial, as well as coffees to keep you going through the day.

On Tripadvisor, one reviewer said: "This place is fantastic and run by two friendly and welcoming people.
"The food is excellent, really delicious and good value.
"The outdoor seating is lovely and now there's an indoor cafe if the weather turns.

"We really can't fault Pipers Pitch and always look forward to returning when we head to Craster."
Other reviewers have said you can’t "miss out" on the café if you are visiting the local area and praise the "fabulous" food.
