Temporary traffic lights on A68 and A67 in Darlington today

Drivers in Darlington should brace for significant roadworks starting Monday, July 6, affecting several key routes.

Here are the six roads in and around the town where major roadworks and temporary traffic lights face drivers this Monday:

A68 West Auckland Road

A lane closure is in effect on A68 West Auckland Road due to essential electricity work, and is set to remain in place until July 10.

The work is taking place between A1(M) J58 Burtree and Rotary Way.

A67 Coniscliffe Road

Temporary traffic lights are installed on A67 Coniscliffe Road for gas main work. They are expected to remain in place until 5pm on August 26.

This affects both directions between Coniscliffe Mews and Edinburgh Drive.

Roundhill Road

Temporary traffic lights will be operational on Roundhill Road due to ongoing roadworks.

Restrictions are set to remain in place until July 10, affecting both directions between Blackthorn Drive and Westfield Drive.

Brinkburn Road

Roadworks have led to temporary traffic lights on Brinkburn Road.

The restrictions are scheduled to remain in place until July 30, affecting both directions between Auckland Avenue and Pierremont Road.

A68 Woodland Road

Temporary traffic lights are in place due to electricity work is on A68 Woodland Road.

Restrictions are scheduled to remain in place until July 10, affecting both directions at Pierremont Crescent.

Faverdale

Temporary traffic lights will be in place on Faverdale until September 7, affecting both directions after the A68 West Auckland Road.
