A woman has been ordered to pay compensation after admitting criminal damage to a door in County Durham.
Leanne Chilton of Lilac Crescent, Newcastle, appeared before Newton Aycliffe Magistrates’ Court on June 22.
The 31-year-old admitted damaging a door, valued at about £300, on January 22.

The magistrates imposed a compensation order of £300, the full amount of the repair.
The court did not order Chilton to pay prosecution costs because “the defendant has significant fines outstanding to the court".
The case was prosecuted by the Crown Prosecution Service North East (Cleveland and Durham).
