One person has been taken to hospital after a cycling incident at Hamsterley Forest.
Emergency services were called to the County Durham woodland on Sunday (June 28) after reports of a sports and leisure incident around 10.12am.
Ambulance crews attended, with a helicopter from the Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) landing nearby just before 10.30am.
A person was assessed and treated at the scene before they were taken to hospital by a North East Ambulance Service road crew.
Their condition remains unknown.

A GNAAS spokesperson said: “Our critical care team was activated at 10.12am to reports of a sport and leisure incident in Hamsterley Forest.
“We had a paramedic and doctor on board our aircraft and they arrived on scene at 10.29am.
“Our team worked alongside the North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) to assess and treat a patient and they were taken to hospital by a NEAS road crew.”
