Two paddleboarders were rescued after being blown out to sea near Seaton Carew.
Hartlepool RNLI launched the rescue mission on Sunday (June 28) afternoon after reports that two people on an inflatable paddleboard had been swept out to the North Sea.
An inshore lifeboat was sent to the scene at 1.45pm and located the duo, who were cold but unhurt and were taken aboard.
The RNLI said the pair were brought back to the Ferry Road lifeboat station where they were warmed up and collected.
It came just a day after two men were rescued after an inflatable dinghy blew out to sea on Saturday around 3.25pm.
Volunteers also had to deal with a 31ft stranded yacht on Saturday that had run aground at the entrance to Hartlepool Marina.
Four people were on board, with two being rescued while the others stayed on the yacht until the tide came in.

A spokesperson said: “On Sunday, June 28, Hartlepool RNLI volunteers were paged by Humber Coastguard to assist two people on an inflatable paddleboard that were being blown out to sea from Seaton Carew.
“Hartlepool RNLI inshore lifeboat launched at 1.45pm and located the casualties at 1.55pm.
“The casualties who were cold but unhurt were taken aboard the inshore lifeboat and brought back to the Ferry Road lifeboat station where they were warmed up and later collected.
