An infant school has been praised for its “culture of care and praise" and an infectious enthusiasm among pupils.
East Boldon Infants' School has achieved a "strong standard" in all seven categories.
The report praised the school in multiple areas, saying: "pupils thrive here because staff have built a culture of care and praise."
The report describes pupils as "happy, polite and delightfully curious," with "infectious enthusiasm and a positive attitude to every part of the school day."
Pupils were found to achieve well, develop a deep understanding of their learning, and make "strong progress across the curriculum."
Inspectors noted that pupils develop "detailed knowledge across the curriculum" and talk confidently about what they have learned.
The early years provision also received high praise.
The report said: "Children show a sense of awe and wonder when encountering new learning and vocabulary."
Behaviour across the school was described as brilliant, with pupils consistently meeting high expectations.
The report said: "Bullying does not happen here.
"Pupils treat each other with kindness.
"This is a value that defines the life of the school.
"They enjoy attending, knowing that they are a valued part of the school."
Inclusion was highlighted as a strength, with staff praised for their understanding and support for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities.

Leadership and governance were also commended for their focus on staff wellbeing and continuous professional development.
Staff said they felt involved in decision-making and described the school as a supportive and positive place to work.
All parents who responded to the inspection survey said they would recommend the school to others.
