The Healaugh Park store was closed earlier this month as works to extend the shop into the former Whitworth Chemist next door accelerated.
Construction crews first moved in on the complex back in March - with the shop now closed until August 13 so that key expansion and reroofing works can get underway.
Now, new pictures have offered a look at the progress on the revamped store.

The reroofing of the shop is well underway, while the newly erected brick wall for the extension has been connected to the existing store.
Steel has also gone up on the right hand side of the store entrance to make way for a new staff room and customer toilets.

The front of the shop, which is still fenced off, remains covered in sheeting - and the interior of the store has been emptied.
Shoppers will have to visit stores in Thornaby, Coulby Newham and Stockton in the meantime.

Aldi - which had been considering expanding the shop “for some time” - first announced the plans last year before councillors approved the move in December.
A spokesperson previously said: “Work is progressing well on extending our store at Healaugh Park, Yarm, and we’re pleased that the store has remained open during these preliminary extension works.
“However, we’d like to inform customers that the store will be temporarily closed from 6pm on Saturday, June 6.

“The newly extended and refurbished store will reopen at 8am on Thursday, August 13. We apologise for any inconvenience this will cause.
“Whilst works are being carried out, customers will be able to visit our other nearby stores at Thornaby, Coulby Newham and Stockton.
"The extended store will provide an improved shopping experience for our customers and will create up to 10 new jobs for local people.
“We look forward to welcoming our customers back.”

Once complete, Yarm’s Aldi will have an extra 353m2 of floor space and include a new entrance lobby. Its service yard will also be widened.
A new paved area will be added to the side of the store, similar to along the front of Whitworths, and the trolley bay will be extended.
The overall car parking spaces will actually increase to 89, with 85 customer spaces to the south and four staff spots to the north.
