Man arrested after car overturns in Middlesbrough crash

A man has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving after a crash involving an overturned car.

Emergency services were called to Stapleford Road in Middlesbrough at around 9.10pm on Sunday (May 24), following reports of a collision.

Officers from Cleveland Police and paramedics from the North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) both attended the incident, which saw a car end up on its roof.

No one was injured during the crash.

Police confirmed that a 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drink driving.

He has since been bailed, failing further investigation.

A spokesperson for Cleveland Police said: "Officers were called to an overturned vehicle on Stapleford Road in Middlesbrough at around 9.10pm on Sunday, May 24.

"Thankfully, no injuries were reported. A 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drink driving, and he was bailed pending further enquiries."
