A housing provider has entered into a new partnership with a Tees Valley charity to support children, young people and families across the region.
Hellens Residential, which owns over 300 residential properties across the region, has announced a two-year collaboration with The Junction.
The Junction is a Tees Valley-based charity that delivers mental health support, youth services, employment programmes and anti-poverty initiatives.
It distributed more than 2.2 million items through its multi-bank project last year.
Kate Hellens, managing director of Hellens Residential, said: "Hellens Residential is really excited to be starting a new partnership with The Junction where we’ll work together over the next two years.
"We had already been working with The Junction through its multi-bank project to help support some of our tenants, so the collaboration felt like a natural fit.
"It was really important to us to give back to the communities we work in and this felt like a genuine partnership where we can support the fantastic work the charity is doing across the Tees Valley, while also helping connect our tenants and communities with the services they provide."
Through the partnership, Hellens Residential will help raise funds and support community activities aimed at improving quality of life for people facing hardship and increasing access to positive opportunities.
The company will also back The Junction’s annual fundraising events, including its golf day and Step Up for Young Carers initiative, and will support the multi-bank project.
That project provides essential household items and supplies to families experiencing poverty across the Tees Valley.

"This partnership will help us continue delivering services that support children, young people and families across the Tees Valley, including our young carers services and the multi-bank project.

Hellens Residential is part of Hellens Group, which also includes property, land, and construction businesses operating across the North East, Tees Valley, and Yorkshire.
The Group has developed over 1,000 homes and 100,000 sq. ft. of employment and leisure space at Teal Farm, Washington.
Hellens Residential is a Registered Provider of Affordable Homes and owns over 300 residential properties across the region with a pipeline for a further 200 properties by 2027.
