A new branch of McDonald's in Darlington has been delayed by six months, and will now open in late summer.
The branch at the Faverdale Industrial Estate was due to open in December 2025, but that date was missed.
An "early 2026" date was then teased, but bosses have said the store will open in late Summer.
Construction started on Faverdale Industrial Estate in March 2025, with both McDonald's and Costa Coffee confirming plans to open later this year.
A McDonald's spokesperson said: “We’re looking forward to opening our new restaurant in Darlington, due to open in late summer 2026.
“The restaurant will bring significant investment to the local area and deliver up to 120 full and part-time jobs.”

It was also meant to open in December 2025 but delays have meant works are still ongoing.
Once completed, the development will have three drive-thru units, eight shops and an industrial unit.
One fast food chain that will no longer be part of the retail site is Taco Bell.

The Californian-founded chain Taco Bell was named as a tenant at the Faverdale retail park as far back as July 2023, and was set to open a drive-thru restaurant.
But developers Metcalf Harland Property Investment said the fast food chain did not sign on a lease.
Once the retail site is completed, it will join the likes of Lidl, Starbucks, and Home Bargains.
