A man in his 30s has been taken to hospital after he was found lying in Bishop Auckland.
Police and paramedics were called to the A688 at Tindale around 4pm on Wednesday (May 6).
The man was reportedly unwell and taken to Darlington Memorial Hospital. It is understood he was not involved in a crash.
A spokesperson for the North East Ambulance Service said: "We were called to a person unwell near the A688, Bishop Auckland, shortly before 4pm.

"We dispatched two double-crewed ambulances, and one patient was taken to Darlington Memorial Hospital."
A Durham Police spokesperson added: "Emergency services were alerted to a call for concern after a pedestrian was found lying in the road at approximately 4pm.
"The pedestrian, believed to be a man in his 30s, was attended to by paramedics while police officers managed the scene."
