A 396-acre farm in County Durham has been placed on the market for £4.6m.

Low Harperley Farm, to the east of Wolsingham, is a certified organic farm extending to almost 396 acres.

It has a five-bedroom, four-bathroom Grade II* listed farmhouse.

The farmhouse, which dates back to the late 1200s, has been recently renovated to a "very high standard" while retaining its original character and traditional features.

This includes a large kitchen diner with an Aga, utility room, games room, music room, lounge, and office.

Estate agents, Vickers and Barrass, have described the farm as an "Opportunity to acquire a substantial turnkey, staffed, organic farming operation with livestock and relevant equipment available."

The land consists of roughly 199 acres of arable land, 153 acres of grassland, and 36 acres of woodland.

There are 110 pedigree Salers and followers, certified organic breeding female cattle, and a sheep flock of 350 head of predominantly Lleyn ewes and followers.

The farm also houses 90 organic hens with a mobile hen house, along with a range of modern agricultural machinery.
