The Morritt Hotel and Garage Spa, at Greta Bridge near Barnard Castle, is being marketed as a “rare opportunity” for new owners with estate agents Colliers handling the sale.
The 26-bedroom hotel comes with a bar, restaurant, function suite, lounges and a standalone spa, and is described as a long-established business with multiple income streams.
The venue is popular with tourists, locals, corporate guests and benefits from passing trade from the A66.
Trading as an AA three-star hotel, agents say they are looking for new owners to grow its trade and “take the asset to the next level”.

The garage spa, housed in the west wing of the main building, was previously a working garage before being converted into a modern spa and leisure facility.
