New gourmet dessert chain Yum Yum coming to Redcar

Yum Yum Redcar, which will open on the town’s picturesque seafront, is promising “the best burgers and desserts in town”.

The chain already has successful restaurants in Newcastle, Middlesbrough and Hartlepool.

In a post on social media yesterday (March 31), the owners teased the new venture, saying: “We’re opening soon on Redcar seafront, bringing you the best burgers and desserts in town.

“From juicy burgers to indulgent sweet treats, we can’t wait to serve you.”

They said that despite “significant delays” to refurbishments, work is now back on track, and an opening date will be announced soon.

The new restaurant will be based at 31-32 Esplanade, TS10 3AA, and customers have been urged to keep an eye on its page for updates.

“Redcar, are you ready?”

Since the announcement, the business has seen an influx of support and excitement online. One person said:

“Good luck with the opening. I can’t wait for this.”

Yum Yum, known for its waffles and milkshakes, has five-star reviews on TripAdvisor, with one customer saying:

“Everything was 10/10. The food, the service, the place and even the cleanliness for me was top notch.

“The croffles are a must if you have never tried one.”
