A brand new bookshop has opened its doors to the public in Durham.
Waterstones launched its latest branch at the Arnison Centre in Pity Me, Durham on March 28 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
There was also a special guest in the form of Dino from the hit book The Dinosaur that Pooped by McFly's Tom Fletcher and Dougie Poynter.
The new shop, which is the the third venue in Durham, is designed to offer a "bright and welcoming environment" with a thoughtfully curated selection of books and gifts for all ages, and includes a bookshop café for visitors to enjoy.
On Facebook, the shop celebrated the opening saying: "Thank you so much to everyone who came along (not so bright!) and early, it was great to see you all!"
The shop is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 8pm, Saturday from 9am to 7pm, and Sunday from 10am to 4pm.

Speaking ahead of the opening, Claire Bulman, retail manager for Waterstones in the North East, said: "We are delighted to announce that we will soon open the doors to a new Waterstones bookshop in Durham’s Arnison Retail Park.
"Alongside an extensive selection of fiction, children's books and non-fiction, our new shop will also feature games, puzzles, gifts, vinyl and a café.
"We can’t wait to welcome our customers and help them find the perfect book or gift."
