Popular Coxhoe takeaway to open at new premises in April

Something Greek, based in Coxhoe, confirmed on social media yesterday (March 18) that it is preparing to reopen at the beginning of April from the former Danielle’s Deli unit.

The business said the move will bring a number of improvements for customers, including a bigger space, easier access and more room for seating.

In a Facebook post, the team said: “After a very eventful couple of weeks, we’ve officially secured the lease on our new premises.

“And now… hello to our new home! Former home to Danielle’s Deli.

“Bigger space, easier access, and more room for tables, chairs, and all the good stuff.”

The takeaway added that all equipment and stock has already been moved into the new unit, with refurbishments continuing over the coming weeks to complete the final touches.

The owners said they hope to welcome customers back in early April once the final stages are complete.

Reflecting on their previous premises on 16 Commercial Road East, the business described it as a “challenging period”, with the team dealing with issues including power cuts and last-minute fixes.

The post added: “Now it’s time to say goodbye to our old place. You’ve seen us through power cuts, last-minute fixes, and a few tears along the way - it’s been a journey, to say the least.

“We can’t wait to welcome you all in very soon, get ready, because we’re coming back bigger, better, and slightly more organised.

“Thank you for sticking with us, it truly means the world.”

In response to the relocation, many long-standing customers have taken to social media to share their excitement about the news.

One person said: “So excited! You’re going to smash this can’t wait.”

Another person commented: “Can’t wait to see the new place, best of luck.”
